Sean water is salty because when it rains, the rain gets soaked up into the land. It then travels through all the rocks of the earth and then joins rivers and streams back to the sea. So that means, before it ever rained, the people of earth could drink the sea!

Water can only be described as fresh if the salt content is very low or non-existent. If there is any noticeable amount of salt then it would be described as salt water. However, unless the water has actually been distilled, some impurities are to be expected. Small amounts of salt can come from many sources, for example, if you put your hand in the water, there is salt in your perspiration.

answ2. Pure water, e.g. melted straight from snow, is rather flat and bland. Distilled water the same.

It is not 'salty'.
