Smog is a slang word blending smoke and Fog. Could be related to certain types of fires ( oil refineries, yecch!) or more stable like-pollution from chemical industries. I have heard the term Smog Hog applied to a number of old and fuel -inefficient vehicles. It was applied to some piston-engine trainers by the airmen, and in a differnt sort of lift- derisively to the huge cranes they had at Koppers Koke in Hudson County . These had modern truss booms, were live steam and coke-fired and ran on paralell sets of tracks- l8 foot gauge.l My guess they weighed as much as a full-sized locomotive such as the GG-L. I have heard these cranes derisively called Smog Hogs, sadly they are extinct. They were made byLink Belt and called, officially, Broad Gauge locomotive cranes.
The hazy clouds that hang over some cities is called smog
This phenomenon is called smog, which is a combination of smoke and fog. Smog is a type of air pollution that occurs when pollutants react with sunlight and moisture in the atmosphere, creating a visible haze.
The dirty haze that forms when pollution combines with moisture in the air is known as smog. Smog is a harmful mixture of pollutants, such as ground-level ozone and fine particulate matter, that can have negative impacts on human health and the environment.
Driving contributes to smog by releasing pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds into the air from vehicle exhaust. These pollutants react with sunlight to form ground-level ozone, a key component of smog. Driving less, carpooling, and using public transportation can help reduce smog emissions.
That is known as smog, a mixture of pollutants, primarily from vehicle emissions and industrial activity, that can create a visible haze over urban areas.
A dirty haze resulting from air pollution and air moisture is called smog.
Sometimes it is called humoniebla but the more popular term is just that: smog
Smog
Classic smog is combination of smoke and fog. Modern smog, more properly called photochemical smog, is mixture of nitrogen oxides, PAHs, ozone and reactive hydrocarbons
Ozone is not a pullutant. Our ozone is what is being destroyed by the air pollution called smog.

its called smog.Answer:It can be one of two types of smog:"Classic" smog which id formed by smoke, sulfur dioxide and fogPhotochemical smog which is formed from reactive hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, ozone and sunlight.
The pollutants such as ozone and smog are called greenhouse gases. They also cause global warming and increase the temperature.
The layer of air over L.A. that holds in smog is called an inversion layer.

Ozone present in the troposphere is also called as bad ozone. It is also a green house gas. It is the major constituent of the urban smog.
