It's the result of a process known as convection. Convection is the uneven heating of the earth's surface, creating warm and cold air masses that rise and/or descend upon each other as they change temperature, making wind currents.
Earth (at least the first few inches) heats and cools faster than the ocean. So during the day the colder ocean winds rush in to replace the warmer, lower density air. They sweep toward the land, making a sea breeze. At night, as the earth rapidly cools, the process reverses with the land's now colder air sweeping out to sea where the air is warmer and again less dense. This is called a land breeze.
Thermals.
Let me expand upon that a bit.
During the day, the ocean heats up more slowly than the land. The hot land makes the air above it hot, causing it to rise and creating a partial vacuum there relative to the cooler ocean, so the cooler, denser air over the ocean flows toward the land.
At night, though, the land cools off more quickly than the ocean. This reverses the process, so the (relatively) warm ocean heats up the air above IT, and you get the opposite effect.
because in a summer day land heats and cools more quickly than water , the air above land heats and cools more quickly than the air above water. warm air is less dense than cold air, so it rises. as warm air rises , it cool and becomes more dense
land breezes happen during the day because the temperature is higher, and sea breeze is a wind blowing from the water onto the land
Land breeze is just like sea breeze, but land breeze is created during the night. Its cooler.
Cool, dense air moves during night from the land toward water as = the answer is LAND BREEZE
A sea breeze happens during the day because the hotter air from the land rises when the cooler air from the sea slips underneath and forms a sea breeze. Then at night the opposite happens which is called a land breeze. The land is cooler than the ocean making the warmer ocean air rise up the allow the cool land air underneath and this creates what is called a land breeze. :)
Yes, I think I know. A sea breeze comes from the west, bringing moisture in from the sea. A land breeze (I call it a "lee" breeze) comes from the east,TAKING AWAY moisture (dessicating/drying) and pumping it BACK INTO the sea. Breezes from the east, are also sometimes called "zephyrs".
At night, the land looses heat faster than water does. Cooler air from the land moves toward the water, causing a land breeze.
becauseduring day, land heats up quicker than sea
Land breeze is just like sea breeze, but land breeze is created during the night. Its cooler.
during the day you feel a sea breeze, during the night you feel a land breeze
It is during the day time and land breeze is at night.
Land breezes occur during the time of night.
No, that's why there's land breeze at night, and sea breeze during the day. Sea breeze occurs during the day so it means it's colder than the land during the day. Hope you understand! :D
Land breezes occur during the time of night.

toto
land breeze =D
during night
a sea breeze is caused by the sea winds and occurs at the night, while land breezes are during the day and are from land:) lol.
