At molecular level I can say that only faster molecules of water can escape due to the effects of force of surface tension. Hence the average velocity of molecules inside the leaf goes down hence temperature which is a measure of average velocity drops or does not rise due to higher outside temperature.

What does degrees above zero mean?

"Degrees above zero" typically refers to the temperature being higher than the freezing point of water, which is 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). It indicates that the temperature is in the positive range rather than below freezing.

What is the temperature above freezing?

The temperature above freezing is any temperature above 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius).

Is 41 degrees above normal temperature or below?

41° Celsius = 106o Fahrenheit Which is rather warm. though not an unknown daytime temperature. This is much higher than normal human body temperature (about 37°C). 41° Fahrenheit is a bit cool, within the temperature range for spring and autumn, and winters in subtropical areas.

What is body temperature that is higher than normal?

If the body is unable to maintain a normal temperature and it increases significantly above normal, a condition known as hyperthermia occurs.

Could the above thermometer be used to record the temperature of boiling water?

No, the above thermometer cannot be used to record the temperature of boiling water. Most household thermometers have a limited temperature range that does not typically extend to the boiling point of water, which is 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit). To measure the temperature of boiling water, a thermometer with a higher temperature range is required.

What is an integer 10 degrees above zero?

An integer that is 10 degrees above zero is simply the number 10. In the context of temperature, this means a measurement of 10 degrees on a scale such as Celsius or Fahrenheit, indicating a value that is ten units higher than the baseline of zero.
