The body expends a great amount of energy just by generating the heat it needs to survive, and when it is particularly cold outside it needs to work even harder than usual to maintain that temperature. Although you don't notice it as much as you do during summer, what with all that sweat, dehydration can become a problem during winter due to the amount of water used in that process. Make sure you drink plenty.

Also, don't forget that you expend extra energy when walking across wet or slippery surfaces, and the weight of all that extra clothing can make a surprising impact.

Another possible consideration is the so-called 'Seasonal Affective Disorder', of which fatigue is a common symptom. The important function of sunlight in our health, as well as the psychological impact light can have, is diminished during winter. As well as drinking plenty of water and getting plenty of sleep, I'd also suggest checking your diet and taking vitamin supplements if necessary.
