For some countries loss of local jobs leading to poverty
Most of countries in poverty do concentrate their resources onto one sector: The primary sector (mining/agriculture). This however, is not planned and due to certain other causes such as lack of technologies and budget to invest in other sectors of economy.
Comparative poverty is a measure of poverty, which is also used as a measure of inequality. It refers to looking at poverty in comparison with others. For example, if you live in a country where there is a lot of inequality, where there are very rich people living in proximity to very poor people, it is argued, that the poor in countries like these are more aware of their poverty as they can compare it with the wealth of others living relatively close to them. At the same time, if you are poor in a country where most other people are poor, it is further argued, that you will not be as aware of your poverty as you are comparing yourself to other poor people. Therefore comparative poverty refers to what poor people can compare themselves with and how that affects their own perceptions of their poverty.
countries cannot grow without trade
Every country has poverty some more than others, but it is a fallacy that poverty is caused by a country's debt. If that was the truth, then, countries with very rich leaders wouldn't have poverty. Poverty is the result of the government not caring about the common good of the population and using resources for war, and other things other than meeting the needs of the people.

Foreign direct investment is something some countries do to try to help other countries. These investments help the economies of the countries and help the people get out of poverty.
There are people living in poverty in all countries of the world.
Every Country, no matter how developed has poverty, poverty is a world wide issue, not just in less developed countries. its just that the poverty in less developed countries is talked about more than the poverty in more developed countries.
I am sure there are poverty there as there are indeed poverty everywhere else in the world. Even rich countries has got poor people. I suppose the not rich countries are often happier. this maybe because they do not expect so much here in life. In some countries you are thought to be poor if you can not instantly buy a new TV when your old one breaks down. In other countries you are thought to be rich if you manage to eat and not be hungry every day. Regards.

well, diffrent countries across the world put supplies and money and other resources into the poorer countries to help those in desperate need. so the impact of the make poverty history movement was probably not a huge scale of impact but did help other countries but there still is poverty now so i am guessing that the impact was big but not big enough to turn those poorer countreis into wealthier countries. :) by XXXCoolNinjaXXX
i would have changed the world. I would save many people of my countries by going to other countries and saying about the poverty of India
