Absolutely! At one time the Treasury issued bills up to $10,000 for circulation and $100,000 for internal government use. They were issued up till 1945, but were printed with the series date 1934.
At that time they were rarely used in retail transactions because the dollar's purchasing power was so much higher - $10,000 could buy a moderately nice house, for example. In 1945 the government stopped printing anything higher than $100 as an economy measure, and by 1969 dropped the requirement that banks had to keep the larger bills on hand. Even though prices have gone up so much since then that a $500 bill today buys less than a $100 would 40 years ago, so many transactions are handled electronically that there's little need for high-value bills anymore. Also there is a lot of reluctance among many countries to print high-value bills in any major currency ($, £, €) because they make it easy for criminals to hide illegal transactions - a million bucks in hundreds is a lot harder to ship around than the same amount in $10,000 bills, for example!
yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dollar bills are not always worth one dollar, however one dollar bills are worth one dollar for the sake that 1=1, it is a one dollar bill, and can be exchanged for goods and services.
Nope, unfortunately.
In a standard Monopoly game, there are 30 one-dollar bills. The game's bank typically contains a total of 20 of each denomination, including the one-dollar bills, which are used for transactions throughout the game.
I was asking this same question myself. I did do a little bit of research and what someone said was 1959. Although I do NOT know why.
$50 is all it is worth. No one will give you a penny more for it. I have several thousand $50 bills dating from 1950's through 2009. Each one is worth exactly, $50.
There are 1,000 one-thousand-dollar bills in one million dollars. This is because one million divided by one thousand equals one thousand. Therefore, if you have one million dollars in one-thousand-dollar bills, you would have a total of 1,000 bills.
It would take one hundred thousand dollar bills to make one hundred thousand dollars.
There are 10,000 one hundred dollar bills in one million dollars. This is because one million divided by one hundred equals ten thousand. Therefore, there are ten thousand one hundred dollar bills in one million dollars.
4.3 inches
It looks like ten thousand one hundred dollar bills. Or does it look like twenty thousand fifty dollar bills? I can never remember.

1,000,000 / 10 = 100,000 that's one hundred thousand 10 dollar bills in one million dollars
