Starting Thursday, millions of grandparents and retirees will see a $250 raise to their usual Social Security funds. The months long wait for stimulus payments for seniors, as part of the stimulus bill passed February, is now over, CNN reports. Nearly 55 million seniors and retirees will receive the $250 one-time payment between now and June 4, 2009. Most of the checks have been sent out this week (May 11, 2009). Payment will either be received as a separate check, in addition to Social Security payments, or appear in accounts as a direct deposit.

I heard the government would be sendind the checks before Christmas to boost the economy one more time. We all heard about it in the news...Hopefully right about now they are printing the checks!!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Unfortunately, nobody truly knows yet (sorry!).I've written a post explaining the latest developments, which I will update frequently, and suspected uses of the second stimulus package proposed by Obama:http://www.onemillionbucks.net/2009/01/second-stimulus-check-coming.HTMLSupposedly there may be "an emergency rebate check" but it's unclear as of yet.-Patrick Bateman from www.onemillionbucks.net
No, the rebate check is an advance payment of a 2008 tax credit. The money is actually a portion of the refund or payment applied to the taxes you will file in 2009. Therefore as it is a refund check it is not taxable income.
Short answer: Yes. But most people are unaware that these checks are funded by taxpayers, and unfortunately, will be issued to taxpayers and non-taxpayers alike. In fact, an individual does not even need a Social Security number to receive a check under Obama's plan (?????). The Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 aka "The Stimulus Bill" needs a combination of measures geared towards recovery in both the short term, AND the long term. So while a "rebate" check would help for a week or two, it would be more of a stimulus to eliminate the federal income tax altogether. Obamas version of this legislation is really more or less a spending bill that guarantees long term debt as opposed to long term recovery. It is Robin Hood Economics at its worst. And it will all but decimate the middle class.
Please check your coin again and post a new, separate question including its date. ALL US coins have the motto E Pluribus Unum on them so that's not anything that ID's a specific coin. All nickels have that phrase on them, so there's no way to give a specific answer without knowing the date and condition.
You have to go to your bank, give them the number of the check from your check stub, and tell them what date and to whom the check was written.
Postdated check is a check that has a future date on it and not the current date. i.e., let's say I give you a check today 22 January 2011 and write the check date as 15 February 2011. This is postdating a check. This means that you cannot cash the check until 15th February 2011 and until then the check is of no value. So, you need to wait until the check date to cash it.
6th January is my bithday date, please always first check the expiry date.

by getting to know a person and then they will slowly give their info away!
Post date a check means that you write a check on a day and mention the date of a future day in the check. i.e., let's say I give you a check today 22 January 2011 and write the check date as 15 February 2011. This is post dating a check. This means that you cannot cash the check until 15th February 2011 and until then the check is of no value.

Model number will give you a close age. Check with your repair shop, or on line to find out the closest date of manufacture. Some labels on the mowers will also give you the date of manufacture.
Check the Modification Date in the directory, this will give the date a file was last modified. Also some applications used to prepare documents will maintain a modification history for the document as a part of the document, this will give the date of every modification to the document and sometimes what the modification involved.
