It depends on what you mean. 'Democratic' describes the political framework of a country, where market structures are a function of an economic approach.
I'd think, though, that all developed countries, regardless of political ideology, use, for example, subsidies as a tool for moderating fluctuations in components within an economy, or to encourage development of new economies, such as agricultural ethanol, or alternative energy.
Economies are incredibly complex, and so in a developed country, a truly free market these days would quickly disintegrate, much as would a truly democratic society.
They don't exist...monopolies are caused by government intervention in the market. Excessive regulations, permits, fees etc. create barriers to entry for competitive entrepreneurs, and there is often times legislation passed in favor of large corporations. A truly competitive free market does not have monopolies.
Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Austria & Cyprus are the most Left Led Countries but are not truly socialist.
A genuine free market will not need this option. However, it is difficult to have a truly free market and many times government intervention is needed.
Nobody really believes in a truly free market. Under all forms of capitalism, the state plays a major role.
IT CAN BE, BUT IS NOT NECESSARILY SO. Capitalism is exclusively an economic system where private companies drive a country's trade and industry. So, in terms of economics, capitalism leaves the wealthy industrialists and entrepreneurs in control of the economy. However, as concerns governments, capitalism provides no clear answer as to who is in power. Capitalism can occur under nearly any form of government, be it democracy, monarchy, autocracy, military junta, or a theocracy.
No. We are considered a democratic republic.
Israel, Turkey, and Cyprus. We shall see if Iraq and Lebanon will truly become democratic countries in the future.
