yes its both ethically and logically understandable.

Capitalism. but really, if you lived in Montana and the rent was like 1000 a month and food was like 300, but you transfer that employee oversees and now the rent is like 2000 and food is 500, logically it would make sense to entice the overseas employee with greater pay.. additionally, like in the military, many people get extra pay to help compensate for the distance from their loved ones.

If the company wants to pay you less to go overseas and work, then that would be your choice. gatta love freedom :_)
