In the short-run, education develops human capital (i.e.) skills; training; ability) of labour, which is a primary input in production. Increasing human capital lowers production costs. In the long-run, education develops economic growth by affecting the creation technology. Since technology lowers the costs of production or increases productivity of factors of production, in causes economic growth.
