Please post a new question with the coin's date and mint mark. Half dollars contained silver for about 170 years so there are far too many to list here.

Also, U.S. half dollars were never solid silver because it's too soft. Up till 1964 they contained 10% copper so they wouldn't wear so quickly. From 1965 to 1969 they were 40% silver, and starting in 1971 halves are made only of copper and nickel.
