An Industry is a very large group (100's, 1000's, 10000's) of related businesses that rely on each other financially, and in fact would die out if the other businesses were not there. Often it is a very basic need that is being met: transportation, food, shelter, water, energy. The plantation is a part of the Agricultural industry but it is not THE Agricultural industry.
