In India, the National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Eligibility Test (SET) typically requires a master's degree with a dissertation for eligibility in certain subjects. However, specific exemptions can depend on the guidelines set by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the respective state authorities. Without a dissertation, your MPhil degree may not meet the criteria for exemption from NET/SET eligibility, so it's advisable to check the latest UGC notifications or consult relevant authorities for clarification.
Indian hospitals blacklisted for issuing fake job certificatesDUBAI Dec 12: Qatar Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has blacklisted four hospitals in Kerala for issuing fake employment certificates to health care practitioners seeking a licence to practice in the country.SCH has reported the four hospitals to International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) which is based in the US. Britain's Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence, General Medical Council, Health Professions Council, Royal College of Physicians of London are members of IAMRA. Therefore, the blacklisting of these four hospitals will be reported to its members. This is expected to start investigations on all those who have got certificates and arrived in the UK from these hospitals.According to a newspaper report, investigations conducted by the Permanent Licensing Committee (PLC) at SCH have confirmed that these facilities had been issuing fake or misleading experience certificates to several physicians, nurses and other health professionals seeking jobs in Qatar. The blacklisted hospitals are Sree Venkateswara in Alappuzha,Elite Hospital in Chingavanam,St Augustine Hospital in Ramapuram Bazar in Kottayam and Janatha Hosiptal in Thekkumbhagam.A senior official of the Medical Licensing Department (MLD) at SCH said that these facilities would be blacklisted in other AGCC countries as well since the SCH has already passed over the information to health authorities in these countries. This move was in line with a AGCC Ministerial decision taken in 1983 regarding exchange of information related to health practitioners. We have also informed the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) based in the US about our decision so that they can take appropriate action,MLD director Dr Jamal Rashid Al Khanj was quoted as saying.According to the report, the SCH will no longer accept certificates issued by these facilities.Al Khanji said the PLC had launched an investigation, following suspicions about the reliability of the experience certificates issued by these hospitals.MLD has tied up with an international agency for scrutinising the credentials of private health care professionals seeking a licence to practice in Qatar. The purpose of IAMRA is to support medical regulatory authorities worldwide in protecting the public interest by promoting high standards for physician education, licensure and regulation, and facilitating the ongoing exchange of information among medical regulatory authorities. The current areas of focus is to exchange physician discipline and fitness to practice information.
Kashi and Tirupathi. The expectation of the question to get the two most important piligrimage sites itself is not right as the piligrimage sites are not ranked from 1 to n in Hindusim. There are significant sites in each region and the Himalayan sites are most respected. Madhurai, Rameshwara, Trivandrum, Udupi, Gokarna, Srisaila, Tirpuati in south, Dwarake, Kolhapur, Somnath, Ujjayini in the west, Puri, Konark, Gaya in the east, Allahabad (Prayaga), Mathura, Kashi, Amarnath, Kedarnath, Badarinath, Hrishikesh, Haridwar, Ayodhya are all important places for Hindus. For those who expect one god, one prophet, one religious destination, this many options may confuse a bit, but the abundance of choice is a merit in Hinduism. Abundance is what is appreciated in most fields in life - mode of transportation - do you want just one option available or many choices? Colleges - do you want one option or multiple choices? Do you appreciate only one course available to everybody or multiple choices? The answer is obvious - we appreciate choice and that is what Hinduism offers in religion also.
