definitely, the quest for more money, or the lowering of average wages for middle class families forces parents to work more, and spend more and more time away from their children, who in turn, learn that 60 hour weeks are the norm. And then we are still told that Americans are lazy, in order to subconsciously drive Americans to work even more.

Capitalism is the quest for more and more stuff, that in the end, we don't need.
