Is profit is generally adequate to finance the significant growth of a company?

A company's profits are a key method to finance growth by using those profits into research & development. Should a company require more funding to finance growth, then issuing corporate bonds and - or taking out loans will augment the funds needed for research & development. Growth can also be funded by buying another company which has large cash reserves and or products that are very profitable. Here, the buying company must make an attractive offer and create the financing to make this deal work.

Why producers are price takers and not price makers?

Producers are not strictly price-takers. Generally, the more competitive a market is, the less pricing power a firm has, and the more of a price-taker it is than a price-maker. Since basic economic analysis usually focuses on a perfectly competitive market, a producer is a price-taker because it cannot change its price from the equilibrium condition Price = Marginal Cost = Marginal Revenue because it will be undersold by its competitors if it raises it price.

Why might negotiation be favored over competitive bidding in certain procurement situations?

When the product being purchased is fairly standard and readily available, most firms choose to utilize the competitive bidding process of supplier selection. This involves little or no negotiation. A request for bids is sent to a limited number of qualified suppliers asking for a price quote for the product, given the terms and conditions of the contract. The contract generally goes to the lowest bidder. For government bid requests, the contract legally must go to the lowest bidder qualified to fulfill the contract.

What Is the level of competition high or low in a mixed economy?

A 'command economy' is also known as a central economy where all supply of goods and services is controlled by the government. Most of the assets are owned by the state and the state tries to forecast demand for all goods and services and then allocates available resources to meet this demand. The whole idea of the command economy is that there should be no competition which creates inequalities amongst the people and then you have to have businesses which is driven by the profit motive (which is considered immoral compared to the high ideals of communist/socialist regimes).

Do men really think women who augment their lips make them more attractive?

Generally, no. I am not sure where the practice comes from. However, there certainly are some who does enhance their appearance, but generally, it makes them look unnatural. Most recently, Marie Osmond, who is doing the NutriSystem commercials being shown repeatedly, is what comes to mind as someone who had her lips domes and looks so unattractive. Totally changed her facial appearance in a negative way in my opinion.

Women in sports lok masculine and unattractive?

Remember: 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'?To be competitive, women have to toughen up and that is not what society generally expects of a woman. Popular expectation is that she will be soft and warm and pretty and pure (etc). To many men in particular and women too no doubt, a strong and muscular woman will have some of the natural 'male' appearance aspects and so visually she may not appeal to the majority of people (in terms of how women are generally evaluated). So, many women (in sport) look masculine - TRUE, and unattractive - TRUE from some perspectives.Question for you: Would you rather be feminine and beautiful and live in obscurity in a shack in Africa, or masculine and 'unattractive' but lauded throughout the World as a fantastic athlete (think of some of the Kenyan and other African champion athletes....) and be wealthy and comfortable in life?

Is body hair unattractive?

Depends on time, culture and person. This time, particularly in Western culture, body hair is generally not considered attractive. Me, unless you'd look outright furry, I don't care. Body hair, particularly in the armpits and groin, is a natural thing. Removing it has no advantages apart form looks. And I'm not gonna force anyone to fight nature.
