Re-pricing focuses on the rate revision, there is no change in existing benefit structure of the product. The rate revision is necessitated due to several reasons. Some of the reasons are as follows
ü When the insurance company feels that the product is not sold as expected then the insurance company will revise the rate to sell the product.
ü When the insurance company feels that the product does not give profit as expected then the insurance company will revise the rate to earn profit.
ü When the insurance company feels that the product has more demand then the insurance company will revise the rate to meet the demand.
ü When the insurance regulatory authority asks the insurance company to revise the premium then the insurance company will reduce the rate.

The face value of a decreasing term life insurance policy is reduced over the life of the policy. This type of insurance is designed to provide a death benefit that decreases at a predetermined rate, often aligning with a decreasing financial obligation, such as a mortgage. As the insured amount declines, the premiums typically remain level throughout the policy term.
$20,000
The concept has primary application to property insurance rather than to life insurance. In the context of property insurance, assume that the property owner or other person having an insurable interest in a building buys 2 policies from different insurers for, say $2million each. If a loss occurs and the insured makes a claim against one of the insurers, and it is paid, the paying insurer would have a right to recover half of its payment from the other insurer. In the context of life insurance, an insured can have multiple policies. As long as there is full disclosure to each of the insurers of the existence of the other(s), and each insurer is willing to underwrite the risk despite the existence of the other policy, each policy stands alone and pays upon the death of the insured. Naturally, the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the policy control whether or not payment is actually made.
This answer will depend on the type of policy that was taken out and if the policy is still "in force". If the policy is a term policy (unlikely), whatever is the death benefit face amount of the policy. If the policy is whole life or universal life policy, the policy may have a cash surrender value and a death benefit value. Meaning that you may be able to simply cash out the policy and get a check prior to death. Or, upon death, the value would be the death benefit face amount plus any unpaid dividends and interest minus any loans that may have been taken out.
