That is not a quote from Karl Marx, but a paraphrase from the New Testament.
1 Timothy 6:10: 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Karl Marx saw money as an agent in the alienation of people since money could be used as a substitute for humanly desirable characteristics. For example, a man who is horribly atrocious could have the most wonderful woman with the power given him by money. Additionally, he saw money as alienating people from the production of their own personal items. When a person exchanges money for an item, a person is only complicit in the consumption or use of the item, but has no idea how it was made, separating it fundamentally from its constituent elements.
Many people have heard the expression "money is the root of all evil," but the actual Biblical translation is "the love of money is the root of all evil." Avarice, often used synonymously with greed, is a morally questionable and all-consuming love for material wealth, even at the expense of personal relationships and spiritual growth.Avarice is considered to be one of the Seven Deadly Sins in Catholic doctrine.selfish greedy
Blood diamonds provide an income to terrorist organizations and the money is used for evil purpose.
Savings provide a cushion for times when we need money for necessities, trips, unexpected bills, job loss, retirement, helping others in their times of need, save a down payment for a home, etc.
if no one was wealthy we would all be in poverty but you could also look at it like where there is no good there is no evil
No
That is a matter of opinion and cannot be answered.
I’m not sure that ‘evil’ is really the correct term, but Marx argued that profit came from the exploitation of workers by the capitalists. It was unpaid labour that the employers took for themselves.
$1O,OOOANSWER: Under the law it is equal to all other money. Outside of the law, there is a basic inequality to all money that really bothered people like Karl Marx and his brother Harpo, and my minister insists that equal or not all money is the root of all evil.
Well what you need to do i go down to your local park in a bright grren lycra suit and play with the kiddies. then if you pass Disney will come and find you. but beware you may be caugt by the evil ninjas first. oh and also Karl marx is on the loose so watch out but don't worrie he is powerless because of his fight with spiderman. (see: how did Karl marx loose his power)
The origin of the phrase comes from the Bible. However, it's not "money is the root cause of all evil." The phrase is "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil." Basically, this means that greed causes us to do evil.
You mean evil like Rahm Emanuel...
The Bible says that the LOVE of money is a root of evil; not MONEY is a root of evil.
The greed for the money is the root of all evil.
Money is not evil. LOVE of money is the root of evil. You are entitled to a fair profit for goods or services.
Marx did not believe that history was somehow predetermined or that it would absolutely happen in exactly one way or another egardless of human agency or anything else. But he said that over the course of human history generally what could be seen was development from primitive communism to various forms of slavery to the much debated Asiatic mode of production, to feudalism to capitalism. From capitalism he believed that either the workers and oppressed of the world would carry out a revolution and proceed to socialism and later, communism. Or something else would happen and we would see the "common ruin of the contending classes."
Keres is greek and it means evil spirits Ubel is German and it means evil one Drago means serpant or dragon griffin means beast
I believe usury means taking interest on money that is lent to someone. In the Islamic faith, this is not allowed, for many reasons and the profit from interest is money obtained by evil means. If you lend someone money you should only take back from that person what he borrowed and no more.
