What was the bourgeois revolution?

Bourgeois Revolution is a term used to describe the process by which the economy of Europe went from a feudal system to a business-based system. The main beneficiaries of this change were a new capitalist class of people, which became ascendant economically and politically, and the middle classes that became central to the functioning of this system (these latter groups of professionals expanded and grew wealthier than they could have under the previous system). Socialist theory holds that the bourgeois revolution was positive and necessary to progress but that it should be finite, not an end in itself. The system established by the bourgeois revolution should, according to this view, pass over into socialism and eventually full communism. The term "bourgeois revolution" does not seem to be favored outside of socialist theory, and (in the United States, at least) is not generally used to describe the current political and economic milieu, except by socialists.

Is capitalism a form of fascism?

Capitalism is an economic system, fasism is a poltical system. There have been times in the recent history of capitalism where a bourgeois democratic state is no longer able to protect capitalism, in these times it has been necessary for fascists to assume power to do what bourgeois democracy could not.
