Corporations exist to increase the wealth of their shareholders and they are bound by law to work toward that end (within the law, of course). That is why they were created, the ultimate root motivation for everything they do, the reason for their existence, and the necessity if they are to continue to exist. Everything else is subservient including the national interest of the countries they operate in, the workers they exploit for profit, the environment which needs protection from their operations, etc...The problems that result when corporations aren't properly regulated and controlled by the countries that host them are obvious. Unfortunately, they were able to leverage U.S. politicians and get legislation passed allowing them to seek maximum short-term shareholder wealth at the expense of the national interest and the American worker and that is the current paradigm.

What is liquidity problem in bank?
Liquidity means a bank is able to pay its financial obligations. The main cause of liquidity problems comes about because of constantly changing deposit amounts. This is one reason it's in a bank's best interest to offer customers perks to sign up for direct deposit. With the above noted, the primary cause of liquidity problems in commercial banks relates to that institution's unsuccessful business strategies. Along with this we often find far too many nonperforming loans. This normally means that the bank has not done good work in their research and their credit departments need to revamp on the criteria they set for making loans.
What is an advantage of liquidity?
Corporations are generally much easier to sell and are usually more attractive to buyers than either a sole proprietorship or partnership. The reason for this is because a new buyer will not be personally liable for any wrongdoings on the part of the previous owners. If someone buys a sole proprietorship, for example, the new owner can be held personally liable for any mistakes or illegalities on the part of the prior owner…even if the new owner had NOTHING to do with the situation! This is usually NOT the case with a corporation.

Not all customers would want to remain invested always. As the fund house has the responsibility to honor the redemption requests, they need to maintain cash reserves using which they would pay those customers.
