well, social would be within your community and the people you know and economically would be the whole economy.

But that answer is tautological. It is better to say that, when the two are used in contradistinction, social issues relate to personal rights (e.g. equality before the law) and freedoms (e.g. freedom of religion) and economic issues relate to "the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services" (Merriam-Webster.com), in particular property and income.

But sometime the social impact can be as well as economic impact. for instance, job employment can be the impact for both. But we have to be precise in differentiate the impacts of social and impacts, some of the content might not be same, but some can be in both like employment.....
