∙ 9y agoMinus US$10... Wrong. New Answer. D6 is sold in gallons, albeit hundreds of millions of them, usually delivered weekly. The price runs between $1.25 and $1.75 depending on market pricing, supply and demand, etc. Gulf Goast Platts may be slightly higher than D6 would be sold for in other countries, but is convenient for US buyers, and shipping is often the greatest cost in these contracts. Compared to a Barrel of Oil, which contain 42 gallons, these gallons only pay about .02 in fees, and are generally $0.15-$0.17 below Platts price when actually sold in the market, as compared to $2 a barrel in fees on Barrels of JP54 or other Crude Oil products. The prior answer gave $10 discount from Platts pricing, which is impossible on D6 sold for under $2.
