Many charitable institutions owe their origin to Christian sources and many staff volunteer their time who are also Christian.

Modern science owes its origin to many Christians who believed in an orderly world made by an all-wise creator. Many discoveries, together with the applications for the good of all mankind were made by Christians, including the more recent invention of MRI by Dr. Damadian, a Bible-believing Christian.

The growth of religious freedom and freedom of expression was sought for and gained by Christian 'dissenters' who then of course wanted a society where they could worship as they saw fit. Many people are not free in other places to say about other religions what people boldly affirm against the Christian faith in western countries.

Many laws, either directly, or in principle are based on Biblical teachings, more so in the western world where Christian influence is stronger.

Christians have many times been the leaders in reaching out to the poor and needy of society. There have been countless examples of Christian missionaries who reached out to the poor to improve their lives. Socially, Christians believe in loving their neighbors, which cannot help but have a positive impact on society.
