I think it was because the U.S. used slaves to harvest crops and stuff so the more slaves, the more products for britan. Plus since they were slaves they didnt get paid so Britan didnt have 2 pay xtra 4 teir pay.

you produce a slave ad give the slave to some one else , then they give it to someone else then back to the begging and so on ??.
Cause they traded for things they needed
so they can become something
so you can have varieties of things
because of the money Britain was getting from the slave trade

The slave trade was so important because it strengthened the british empire. the country producing sugar traded their sugar with us and we traded whatever they wanted from britian to them. Sugar was in demand and so the slave trade was important to keep on getting that sugar. This was also the case for crops etc.
Yes but so should all the other countries :S
It is important to study the slave trade so that future generations can understand the cruel inhumanity that people in the past practiced on each other so that we are not tempted to return to this type of behavior.
Slave trade became an important issue during the Constitutional Convention. Southern slaveholders did not want the Congress to take the power over slave trade while controlling foreign affairs. So they only let the Congress have power over trade, excluding slave trade, for next twenty years.

Although allot of bad was made through the slave trade there were a couple of good things like Britain made allot of money from it and most of the slaves were criminals so it was like a punishment for them. Also before they became slaves some were struggling to survive in Africa so becoming a slave gave them food and shelter.
The international slave trade ended APEX
Japan, like Britain, was an Island Empire. Islands MUST import.
