∙ 8y agoIn competition, each company tries to get a price advantage to increase sales by making prices lower than the competition. They would try for a greater market share of the sales at the expense of profit per item sold.
In price fixing, the companies agree on a selling price for the product. By not competing, no company expects a greater amount of sales than the others but they would have a greater profit per item sold.
