A score of 91 on the ASVAB indicates strong aptitude in various areas, suggesting you have the potential for many military occupational specialties. This score can open doors to advanced training and career opportunities within the military. If you're interested in serving your country, gaining valuable skills, and experiencing personal growth, a military career could be a great choice. Consider your personal goals and interests to determine if it aligns with your aspirations.
That depends upon your personal level of confidence and your military ambitions. If you are aiming for one of the more prized careers in the military your ASVAB score will be critical and you would want to be as prepared as possible. For the ordinary recruit it may not be as helpful,
When you see a recruiter they will ask if you've taken the asvab if you say no they will give you a shortened version of the asvab, I think it was 50 questions total. The only addition I have to this answer is that the shortened version is called the Enlistment Screening Test (EST). I have taken it, at the Navy Office. It doesn't count as your score, it just gives them an idea of where your ASVAB score would be for tween they talk possible career interests, and what you realistically can and can't qualify for when you take the actual ASVAB
The ASVAB tests your aptitude in certain areas that helps placing you in your maximum position in the military. Not like if you will ever make Gunnery sergeant, but instead, are you going to be a communications technician, or are you destined to be a grunt for life.
I am planning to join the army as enlisted. With a 99 on my ASVAB, I know I have any available career to choose from. My concern is that certain military careers may not adequately provide me skills for an easy transition into civilian life. I would like to choose my specialty with this in mind, so I was hoping for suggestions. I have a science background and am primarily looking at mechanical/electrical focuses.
Not exactly sure what would happen, but you would still be able to join the military if your general score is high enough
After you are able to pass your practice ASVAB, you would schedule an appointment at your nearest MEPS to take the actual ASVAB.
It depends on what job you are looking to join and the type of score it requires in different areas of the asvab. BAR NONE it is the special forces. SF does NOT have the highest asvab requirement most of them require in the 40-55 range. for the USAF most of the higher asvab required jobs are of electronics backgrounds
You can only score a 99% on the asvab.. To get a 124 would be impossible.
you definitely need to know enough english to pass the asvab test that for sure Ghanaian, I would suggest a diffrent career field for you.
i am a sophomore in high school and i am 16 and i scored a 45 of the asvab and i am not exactly what people would call smart. I'm just about average for a high school-er. so i would say no, you didn't do so good on the asvab unless you are a high school-er like myself!
You would need to speak with a career counselor at the MEPS to determine that. Keep in mind that, if you decide to enlist, you'll be taking the ASVAB again at MEPS, so if you just pencil whipped it for the sake of simply getting through it and getting it over with, you'll have another shot at it.
I have researched the salary for a military Fitness career and have not been able to find a definitive answer. I did fins that the average salary for an Army Fitness career you would average $41,000 per year. Your duties would be to provide Fitness instruction to the military in order for them to be fit for duty.
