A teacher who purposefully calls on a daydreaming student is trying to engage the student and bring them back into the lesson. This approach can help the student refocus their attention and encourage active participation in class. Additionally, it signals to the student that their contributions are valued, fostering a sense of connection and accountability in the learning environment.
If a students gets stuck in a classroom chair the teacher must find out where the student is stuck and try to remedy it. If the teacher cannot get the student in the teacher should get the assistance of the principal, custodian or even the fire department if that is necessary. The teacher must make sure that the student does not get harmed while trying to free the student.

Depends what the situation is. If the teacher is trying to teach and the student is browsing the web, they are probably not paying attention to the teacher so it is a distraction. If the teacher gives instructions to browse the web while instructing in order for the student to better understand the material being taught, then it's not distracting.
That the teacher is trying to be friendly, but lacks a sense of appropriate boundaries. He or she needs to be guided to appropriate behavior in these matters.
The question is too vague because it is not specific to the issue of insured for what? If we are talking about an automobile accident the fact that a student is in the car is not relevant. If we are talking about wrong doing on the part of the teacher against the student and trying to recover against the school district's carrier the answer is maybe. The answer turns on the language of the insurance contract and whether the transportation of the student was permissible and/or was the teacher transporting the student during the course and scope of his employment. A simple yes or no is difficult with an absence of this information.

Stop trying to "get by" and start trying.
First, understand that not everyone is going to like you - that's part of life. You can help teachers to "like" you better by being a good student, trying your best, and offering to help when you can.

There's not much any WikiAnswers contributor can do. I believe that your idea cannot go very far, since iPods and other mp3 players are just electronics that distract students in class, and no student will pay attention to the teacher. The student will never pay attention if he/she can listen to music over listening to a teacher's lecture.
You may appear sad to her or too intense and have not learned to have fun. Your teacher is trying to make you feel better about yourself and it is true that laughter is the best medicine. Be thankful your teacher is trying to make you laugh and make you feel better about yourself.
