Some students feel the ACT is easier than the SAT, but others prefer the SAT over the ACT. It is a matter of personal preference. The SAT covers Critical Reading, Math, and Writing with a required essay. The ACT covers English, Math, Reading, and Science. Writing the essay is optional. The ACT is is based more on the content of high school courses. You may guess on the ACT with no penalty, while there is a small penalty on the SAT for guessing. I always suggest students try both tests in their junior year and then see how they feel about each. All colleges and universities will accept either test for college admission.
neither if you write this bad
No. There are colleges that do not require you to take the SAT to get in. Also a good alternative is the ACT, which is another standardized test which some people find easier to take than the SAT. But if you are looking to go to college, then the SAT is a good idea. If you are not going to college, then there is little to no reason to take it.
Being that the enrollment to each of the tests is voluntary, there is no evidence that the ACT or SAT is harder than the other. Both tests were designed for the same purpose. The specific school of choice may have an opinion as to which test needs to be completed before admission, however, which test is taken is up to the individual. Most schools usually do ACT's over the SAT's, but i believe either test is reasonable. Some people test better than others on the ACT's then the SAT's and vise versa.
Not at all. Both the SAT and ACT are standardized college entrance exams and either are accepted by collegeswith no preference. This is especially true after the SAT's latest revision. There are a few key differences in the SAT and the ACT. Since the revision of the SAT, it is rumored that the SAT is slightly harder than the ACT (I've taken both and I believe this to be true). However, the SAT seems to be slightly more rewarding. Also, the SAT's scoring system allows for the fact that it is difficult. You do not need to get every answer correct in order to score a perfect score on the SAT. It *is* important that you answer every question. On the SAT (and the ACT, for that matter) it is always better to at least make an educated guess as opposed to skipping a question. There are tons and tons of tips and tricks for studying for the SAT that will help you tremendously.
More than 75% of freshman at Boise State scored over 1010 on their SAT and over 18 on ACT.
The ACT is a standardized test similar to the SAT, while IB is a program similar to AP. They have nothing in common....
800 points per section for the SAT, 2400 points total. 800 points per section on SAT II. 36 on ACT.
can you play by ncaa rules if you do not take sat or act
No. University of Phoenix does not require the ACT or SAT for admission.
Full Sail University does not require SAT or ACT scores.
It is about a 26 or 27 on the ACT
