Are gcse's pointless

I just did the 11+ in october and thought it was stupid. It shouldn't determine whether you go to a grammer school or not because it doesn't test how clever you are.

It depends on the level of qualifications you intend on gaining.

When you're year 10-11, GCSEs seem like the world. When in reality it gets you into low paying jobs and into college.

In college GCSEs will seem like nothing, and A-levels will seem like everything. When in reality it gets you a better paying job then only having GCSEs.

The same applies to University where A-levels and GCSEs become nothing, and uni is the biggest thing in the world...
