the pros are very little and the only one i can think of is it helps to keep students on track with their grade level standards but it takes time away from teaches to teach vital subjects and it takes all year to prepare students for the test. the test measures the students ability to learn and the teachers ability to teach. Students who are moe gifted than others aren't challenged because the test is supposed to measure if they are right on track with their grade level learning standards and it does not push the gifted students so it pushes the gifted students to go for mediocrecy not above and beyond. Also the schools that aren't doing well with their test scores funds are cut which causes the students to fall behind because they don't have the enough money to afford new textbooks and computers so the students can learn what they need to pass the test.
