Virtual Vinyl can playing your MPEG music video files just like a DJ spinning records. Great Software. Not the best but the only one worth while under 600 bucks.
Serato Video - A $200 Plugin that can only be used with the $1500 Rane Mixer. Decent tool. Especially if you are on the Serato bandwagon.
Hardware
Numark - Pretty Expensive need octopus arms.
Pioneer - Sell the Harley Davidson and your wedding ring. Collect thousands of dollars in DVD Disc. Need octopus arms. Not worth the cost considering you cannot demand the fee for performance to recover the expense.
There are several Hardware/Software combos available such as MotionDiveTokyo Arkaos/Numark etc. but some are limited to visuals only no music video mixing.
Did you mean professional film AV mixing. Dont know much but know that almost all of Hollywood is going with APPLE MAC's and Software.
