The emotions and motives are related to each other most of the time emotion are the subscripts of motives. Mind's primary function is to generate thoughts but for stimulation of thoughts Mind requires the object or motive.

For example a person is in grief because he lost someone or miss someone ; in this situation grief is emotion (strong thoughts) generated by mind due to some attachment with object or person.

In another example a child want to have ice-cream but he is not having enough money to buy it, he feels sad but at the same time his father offers him ice-cream he becomes happy.

with these examples it is clearly understood that emotions and motives are related.

How would life be if we had no emotions?

This is a very intriguing question but unfortunately has no definite answer(but what question does?). If by emotions your saying "How would life be with out sentient beings" than the answer would be null. If men were simply machines than life would simply be null and void. Without emotion we would simply be the moving version of rocks and other inanimate objects who exist simply because they physically exist. Emotion is the flavor for living, so without emotion, life would not be life and death would not be death. Again, very interesting question.

When can fear be a helpuful emotion?

Every emotion is useful. Fear is the ultimate way for an animal to survive. Without fear, a deer wouldn't be afraid of the wolf and run. Fear keeps you alive better than any other emotion. It keeps you clear of danger.

Similar and difference between James-Lange Theory and Lazarus-Ishachler Theory of emotion?

These two theories differ more than they are similar to each other. The James-Lange theory argues that we experience the arousal from the event or situation first, and then we interpret the arousal and experience the emotion. Without the arousal there is no emotion experienced. The Lazarus theory argues that we must have a cognitive thought before any arousal or emotion is experienced. Without the thought there is no emotion experienced. These two theories are similar in the arousal that we experience before and during the emotion.

Why English need grammar for?

Every language that exists uses grammar. A language can't exist without grammar; everything would be shambles and we wouldn't be able to communicate with each other. Grammar lets the speaker show emotion, ask questions; in fact, grammar lets us say everything that we say today.
