You should be allowed to take any classes you'd like, as long as there is no conflict with your conditions of release. For example, if you were convicted of a sex offense I wouldn't recommend trying to take early childhood education classes.

The classes in college shouldn't be a problem, but be careful about what sort of field you are preparing yourself for. I'd definitely recommend talking to some people in authority to try and find out what your career prospects are on the other side of college.

If you prepare yourself for self employment you won't have to worry about getting turned down for a position due to background checks.
