Of course. You will need to go to college an earn a degree in the field. A GED is the equivalent of a high school diploma. Many people started with a GED and went on to earn advanced degrees. You can probably be accepted at many 4-year colleges right now. Depending on your age, you may need to take the SAT/ACT? Many colleges (especially state operated) accept virtually any state resident with a GED or High School Diploma. If you are having problems getting accepted at the school of your choice, You may also want to consider starting at a community college and getting high grades--then you can transfer into a better college after a year or so.
Good Luck!

Yes. Once you get your GED, go to college. After four years of college you go to med school for a few more years. After med school, you specialize in psychiatry, which takes more school. A lot of people confuse psychiatrist with psychologist. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor first. He or she treats the brain primarily with drugs and uses some therapy. A psychologist doesn't use the drugs. For help on GED test materials, GED practice test, GED testing location, fees, and information you need is just a phone call away.
