Yes, you can pursue a master's degree after completing an advanced diploma, depending on the institution and specific program requirements. Many universities recognize advanced diplomas as a valid qualification for entry into master's programs, particularly in relevant fields. However, it's essential to check the specific admission criteria of the master's program you are interested in, as they can vary. Additionally, you may need to demonstrate relevant work experience or academic performance to be eligible.
A professional diploma is a step above a master's degree and a step below a doctoral level diploma.
A diploma at TAFE is a course that takes between 1 (if you're taking fast tracking options) to 1 and a half years to complete. It provides basic classes and lessons that should prepare you for the advanced diploma, assuming you do not drop out after a diploma. An advanced Diploma is usually a 2 year course that covers much harder topics and is more extensive. Advanced Diplomas have the benefit of giving people a much higher chance of getting into Uni than a Diploma. But if you're a high achiever with a Diploma then the chances should both be equal. For example, I am doing Mechanical Engineering as a Diploma and I take Math Basic classes rather than Advanced Mathematics classes. If I get 90+% overall then my chances are equal to that of an advanced diploma into University.

While a bachelor's degree may lead to higher academic pursuits like a master's degree, an advanced diploma often emphasizes immediate employability in the workforce.
