CDA stands for a number of things. Always spell out the abbreviations so there is no doubt. That being said, I will assume you are referring to the Child Development Associate, the CDA Credential awarded to those in the Early Care & Education by The Council for Professional Recognition to work with Infants, Toddlers, or Preschoolers. If the credits are college level courses taken at a college or university that has a regional accreditation, then there may be some credits that can be used toward a degree. If they are continuing education units then they will not be usable.I am going for my CDA and almost completed. I am also taking classes for my associates degree in early childhood education. And they are giving me 12 credits for my AA when I get my CDA. It will also take off 3 classes I would have had to take plus another class. So I think it is worth it to get a CDA, anywhere you go now for a job is wanting one. This week I am doing my observation in the classroom and then sending all of the information in to get a rep to come give me the tests.
If I understand your question correctly, the AA is a degree at the two year level and not a minor. If you take a bachelors degree, the associates would still remain a degree; a bachelors in elementary education, an associates of arts degree in early childhood education (which should be the way you would want it).
Primary education is the other term for elementary education.

Yes, you can get an associates degree for Dental Assisting. It is called the Associates Degree in Applied Science for Dental Assisting. You will first need to get your Certified Dental Assisting Diploma certification. Then you can further your education by enrolling in a short program to obtain your degree. You will become an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, and make more money because you'll be able to take x-rays, and you will have more education. It pays better than just the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) . You should contact Local schools in your area for this program.
