Cel is short here for Celluloid, nothing to do with prison cells or batteries ( cry cells, cellular phones). I have never heard of Path animation but Radiant-Pathe ( note spelling) was a Euro-British Newsreel outfit that covered all kinds of current events- now the stuff of the seven O"clock news on TV. Good luck.

How can I create a smooth and precise animation using the trim path feature in After Effects?

To create a smooth and precise animation using the trim path feature in After Effects, you can adjust the start and end properties of the trim path to control the visibility of a shape layer's stroke. By keyframing these properties over time, you can create a seamless and accurate animation that trims the path of the shape layer. Be sure to use the graph editor to fine-tune the animation curves for a polished result.

This technique has been widely used in classic animated films before the advent of digital animation.

What is the impact of digital animation on society?

I think yes because this days animation is having impact on children. These children are our future. And if our future is being diverted from their path then it is necessary to make them return to the path. It simply means that they should not spoil their studies for watching animated cartoon and all sorts of thing, sometimes its good for their refreshment but not for hours and hours.
