Yes! Dr. Dyer was my high school guidance counselor at Mercy and also my driver's Ed instructor. He was in the process of quitting smoking when I took driver's Ed from him. I remember he was a little cranky and that made me anxious as I was learning to drive. He was using "life saver" mints as an aid to smoking cessation. I remember spending about $15 to buy a whole box of them for him so I would be more calm as we ( 2 other girls at Mercy) went through our driver's training with him. Oh and he also advised against me becoming a nurse. Said I did not have the science or math scores for it. Well, after more than 30 years of nursing I will be completing my doctorate this month!
