Don't know about Houston community college but my kid brother got his diploma from nation high school he is studying at local community college. He intends to finish his two years in community college and then he will enroll into some other college for his undergraduate degree.

Ask the college you want to go to. Most community colleges do allow people to attend without a high school diploma. You could take the GED and get your high school diploma. Your unaccredited high school diploma isn't worth much.
