Do you need to study math when you study science?

You don't, actually, but why wouldn't you want to know what's going on around you? Much of what is studied in high school science has been known for hundreds of years, like circulation of blood, taxonomy, the Periodic Table, gravity, simple machines - but you don't want to know this stuff. That's rather sad.

Yes, because many aspects of science require calculating values and solving formulas. Biology has relativley little math in high school, while physics can be described as math applied to the real world. Chemistry also has a great deal of math involved with it.

Umm, well, I think math is actually easy an 'fun' People ask why we need it, we actually need it because we need to be able to count if you get a job at a register or you need to do something at a bank, or cash a check. Science how ever, it helps you understand your body.(don't be immature and laugh) but you need to know about like sicknesses in your vagina or penis. Soo. I think it should be recommended. But of course that's my opinion.(=

A basic understanding of math is needful to be able to buy and sell things in most all cultures. A basic understanding of science can assist you in a variety of ways from cooking to auto repair.

Both help you be a well rounded person. Both offer you a chance to find out if you excell in them, so that you might than find a productive career later on.

Both are also required courses in schools, pretty much K-12. So if you are underage, you need to bow to the inevitable! Even in college, there will be a certain minimum number of math and science classes required.
