I don't think that all online schools should be banned. I do think that there should be a bigger crackdown on online diploma mills (schools that basically sell you a diploma for a set price, with no amount of classwork necessary).

There are several online schools that are perfectly legitimate, and accredited. They require the same amount of work that public schools do. The only difference is that the students have to be self-motivated enough to get the work done at their own pace.

The convenience of virtual schooling is alluring to many students. It can be used to make up credits that you failed in your traditional school.

Maybe a student just wants to get ahead so they can graduate early, or get a few classes out of the way over the summer so that they have room in their schedule for extracurricular activities.

Or, maybe a student dropped out of high school several years ago, and now as an adult, they have decided to go back and earn their high school diploma. Whatever the reason, online schools have a lot to offer students. On the negative side, online schools isolate people from their peers and from important social interaction. This can contribute to feelings of loneliness and depression.

They deprive students of opportunities to learn interpersonal skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution in a real life environment.

They require more self-discipline than many people exhibit. Some students may have a tendency to procrastinate or to give up in frustration.

They rely heavily on strong reading comprehension and the ability to self-teach. There is no teacher immediately available to answer questions, and no other students to contribute ideas and insight to the students' thought processes.

Online classes may be a convenient and acceptable supplement to traditional education, but they also exclude the student from real world experiences that are important to a happy and well-rounded life.

Do you think online games should be banned?

Nope. Its the only way that some people can socialize with others. If they were banned, I would have nothing to live for, no friends no games no nothing. No life! Plus, you don't even HAVE to play them.

Do you think adult online games should be banned?

I don't think it should be banned. However, stricter rules and careful monitoring should be implemented. Some sites like http://www.ustrippoker.com has strict monitoring of accounts in such a way you can't have duplicate accounts. Some sites however, are too lenient with registration. These are the ones that should be carefully monitored.
