Sin and death is a direct result of Adam and Eve choosing to disobey God..they being our original "parents" they have passed this flaw on to us.
The way out from sin was made possible by means of God sacrificing his only son..Jesus..as an equivalent to cancel out Adams sin. This allows us to pray for our sins to be forgiven.
