Does daoism encourage education

Basically, Taoism, like Confucianism, is a philosophy aimed at encouraging good leadership of society. Like all strains of thought of that sort, it was an effort at providing guidance for those who find themselves in positions of power and influence over the masses.

As such, the intended students of Taoism would be, primarily, men who were eligible to participate in the power structure of Chinese society.
