In the traditional sense of a mascot, no Deerfield does not have one. By this I mean that the Academy is not represented by an animal and there's not some kid who wears an animal suit running around at sporting events. But Deerfield does have a symbol, the Deerfield Door, but it is by no means a mascot. Deerfield is referred to as the "big green" and that is generally used in place of a mascot. For example, the Deerfield community has immense school spirit, and at competitive events it would not be uncommon to hear yells of "Go Big Green!"
