Exodus 4.24 translation from old testament Hebrew?

Exodus 4:24 (my own translation):
וַיְהִי בַדֶּרֶךְ, בַּמָּלוֹן, וַיִּפְגְּשֵׁהוּ יְהוָה, וַיְבַקֵּשׁ הֲמִיתוֹ.

And it came to pass on the way, at the inn, and THE ETERNAL* met him, and sought to kill him.

*It doesn't really matter how you translate this word (THE LORD, THE ETERNAL, ADONAI, etc); it is the unpronounceable name of God, spelled YHVH.
