First: Learn Yoga style breathing. Close your eyes. Push your diaphragm all the way out. You are breathing in. Now push your diaphragm up into your chest as you breathe out.

Singers divert much of the work of the vocal chords to the diaphragm. It is important to learn to breathe correctly and use it properly. If you are going to sing for 3 minutes on one breath, you must have your blood saturated with oxygen. You must use every amplification trick in your head that is possible.

Second: You stand up straight and face forward. Then you practice singing.

If you can, get a DVD of an Opera. Notice the angle of the heads to the bodies. That is the angle they have to use to get that tone.

Third: Now make a basic tone. Now start moving your tongue around as you make your basic tone. See if at some point you make your tone louder. You will need to keep changing the shape of your tongue until it happens.

Q: How can I find my true singing voice cause my choir teacher said that I need to find it over summer and she said that when you sing you will not have to use effort to sing high notes very well?
