You aren't going to know anything so no one is going to hire you. Therefore, you will always be broke. How will you teach your kids things if you don't know anything? Good education is everything.

Education helps us to discover our interests, which fundamentally allows us to discover happiness. Who would have known that you'd fall in love with astronomy if you never learned about it? It is only through education that you could arrive at such a realization, and things you enjoy tend to make us happy.

Education also allows us to think for ourselves. Ever hear that saying "Knowledge is power"? That is because when we have knowledge, we are difficult to deceive. The more knowledge we possess means that there is a lesser chance of you getting suckered into things. Want an example? Luring a child into a van via "free candy". Poor little fellow didn't know any better because he was not educated on the topic. With education, we are less likely to be taken advantage of. I can name countless scenarios, and I am sure that you can think of a few as well.

Education is progress. Why do we live in a world so filled with technology? Because scientists made discoveries and put them in action. Where's the bridge that ties us between our stone-age days and today/the future? Education, knowledge and learning. They are the sole reason for our advancement. Nothing would have ever been discovered if we did not yearn to learn more, and we would still be living in the stone age.
