Pretty much the same way that children all over the world travel to school. Car, bus, train, bicycle.

The interesting point is that children in remote areas that cannot get to school, such as those who grow up on farms (or stations as they call them) have access to school over the radio. Lessons are broadcast and the children either follow in their work books, or if the facility is available are able to interact with the class via citizen band radio.

As more and more of the globe is able to obtain broader coverage from satellites, this will eventually morph into "virtual classes" ie through Skype or other.
