Proper Arabic

In Proper Arabic, the way to say good night is: Laylat al-khair (ليلة الخير)

However, there are many ways to say good night in the various Arabic dialects.

Tesbah ala al-khair (تصبح على الخير) and Derivatives:

This is a common thing said to another person before sleep.

(Egypt) [to a man] TisbaH 'ala kher

(Egypt) [to a woman] TisbaHi 'ala kher

(Egypt) [to a group] TisbaHu 'ala kher

(Egypt) [answer to a man] Wenta bikher

(Egypt) [answer to a woman] Wenti bikher

(Egypt) [answer to a group] Wantu bikher

Layla Sa3ida (ليلة سعيدة)

This is more commonly said when spiriting friends away for the night. (I.e. a party is ending, and you want to wish someone farewell at night.)

Tabat Laylatoka (طابت ليلتكَ) and Derivatives:

you say " tabat laylatoka" if you are talking to a male.

you say " tabat laylatoki " if you are talking to a female.

& you say " tabat laylatokom " if you are talking to two persons or more.
