You must as well ignore snide remarks that do reside with striving to become valedictorian. Keep pushing and never give up.

Well, I recommend you try to have the highest average in your class. It would be an accomplishment worth going after. However, if you do not make it, don't sweat. You can have several different talents. It's a big achievement; it proves you never give up. It also doesn't mean the absolute worst if you don't make it. If you don't think you'll get it, be multi-talented. Some schools take a vote while others choose who they know,like, ect. Hope this helps!
